Eligibility Requirements

The CSTE Applied Epidemiology Fellowship is designed for recent master’s or doctoral graduates in epidemiology or a related field who are interested in public health practice at the state, local, territorial, and/or tribal levels. The fellowship provides rigorous competency-based training while also being flexible to meet the interests of the fellows.   

 

Fellowship applicants are required to meet all the following criteria if you are a recent graduate or current graduate student: 

Candidates must have their epidemiology or a related qualifying degree and/or coursework completed at an institution accredited by the Council of Education for Public Health (CEPH). Please visit the CEPH website for more information about accredited programs.

At least four graduate-level epidemiology courses and one graduate-level biostatistics course. These courses can be completed and/or in progress.
Desire to pursue a long-term career at a state, territorial, local, or tribal health department.
Proof of United States Citizenship or United States permanent resident status.
Demonstrated analytical skills.
