In The Field
Fellows may have the opportunity to participate in projects and activities in the field of their respective subject area and community.
Based on geographical location, some fellows might participate in environmental health disasters, such as hurricanes, winter storms, etc. During the 2022 hurricane season, fellows placed in Florida assisted with infection control precautions in response to Hurricane Ian. During the COVID-19 pandemic, fellows also participated in COVID response and preparedness at their health department.
